This enthralling young adult fantasy and mythical-fiction, presumably first in the series, The Heiress: the Cursed Queen transports readers to mythical worlds of the galaxies, fabled creatures, and magic pots of devils and evil forces. YA fantasy books, which are full of magic and intrigue, like a typical young adult fantasy books this too is a coming-of-age story that features a teenage protagonist, this is the story that anyone can enjoy, from children to adults. In any fantasy novel, it is obvious to witness the struggle between good and evil, and ancient prophecies and deeds pop up as the new-age guys seek to settle down old wounds and blunders. This book combines coming-of-age themes, adventure, and aspects of unheard mythology inclination.
The plot centers on two immortals/elementlists of Earth teenagers named Eliana Parker and Archer Wright, who find themselves drawn into an ancient prophecy of emerald and a sword, it has got with Eliana’s mother Reyna Parkar – she is the current oppressive ruler of the galaxies. The throne has been relayed into wrong hands. It has stirred despair across the worlds, who will save people, and restore peace. The right heir –humanity’s savior–has to do something. Our young protagonists learn that they are not ordinary teenagers but rather are meant to play a significant part in bringing harmony and balance back to the galaxies by reclaiming the lost emerald.
Many will be impressed by this novel’s rich and vibrant writing, and love reading and visualizing the detailed descriptions of the creatures and world building in its amazing own ways. The universe is painted with beauty and mystery. While the mythological beings and legendary heroes add complexity and enchantment to the story, the portrayal of Eliana Parker and Archer Wright as two teenagers embodies the challenges and hopes of adolescence.
The author alternates between moments of intense action and quieter, introspective scenes. At times, the exposition can feel heavy-handed; however it is easily overshadowed by the novel’s overall strengths. You will be incredibly delighted to have read such a wonderful work of literature from the younger generation, thanks to the fantastic storytelling skills and creativity of our extremely talented and imaginative teenaged author Jaanya Vijh.
Views on the Cover Page and Characters:
The front cover page is evident of the lost emerald that the team of teenagers has to find to restore peace in the galaxies. The cover page exudes rays of vibrancy and enigma, however, a few pictures of illustrated teenagers could have spiked up its curiosity, it becomes easy to imagine the characters in the garb of subconscious mind while reading.
The scaffold of the novel is built around Eliana Parker, the teenage girl, as she comes from a luminary Elementalists family; she has the responsibility to restore peace disturbed by her mother Reyna. Eliana and Archer act as two stronghold characters in comparison to others originated from the camp. And Reyna, the mother, is a silent subtly clever villain. She bothers her daughter, but not like a rogue villain. Even in their hostility lies sub-audition of chemistry. Other characters nudge the story yet remain out of the limelight. This is a great aspect to deliver a YA fantasy novel without a confusing cast of characters.
