The Tehran International Book Fair is held every year in the titular city and the cultural event has turned into quite the landmark. A celebrated book fair in the Middle East and Asia after 32 editions in a row, the book fair currently serves as the most significant cultural event in Iran, through an annual presence of more than 2,400 local and 600 foreign publishers, along with a number of visitors topping almost 4 million.

This year however, and for the first time ever, the Tehran Virtual International Book Fair is being held online from 20th to 25th January 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic and its restrictions.
