Love, Pain & Timelessness: Kashvi’s Poetry is both Beautiful and Thought-Provoking

“Love, Pain & Timelessness” is a charming collection of poems authored by young Kashvi Khurana. The book houses many lyrical poems and loves to explore a gamut of subjective themes rooted in eternal love. The dazzling fact is that how can a growing-up teenager write so much, in clear concise, about the world that she is yet to see and experience. She wrote about Greek gods – appreciated them as they epitomize timelessness in their respective domains of love and virtues. The poem ‘He is Apollo’ appreciates the good deeds of a perfect man.

“He laughs as many fall,

Falling for his eternal youth.

He is Apollo,

The god who can both cause plague and heal.”

By falling back on Greek/Roman mythological figures, the poetess draws the power of perfection and indicates the contribution of the same in human race. Kashvi sheds light on the immaculate persona of a girl through the poem ‘My Darling Anastasia’ – which is again derived from Greek mythology.

There are cool poems on the misadventures of school going folks, however, in particular a few more poems clubs up to capture the innocence of growing years…as they find solace at wee hours of 3.3 am or running around the library or realizing that their wish of grown up adult comes up with harsh realities of the world.

Further down the alley the collection didn’t lag in exploring the encomium of love and relationships. Though that sounded soft and fragile in their phase of teenage, yet it has value of veracity. The book silently shuttles between several themes, each of which deals with a different aspect of love, such as passion, heartbreak, longing, and hope.

One of the most remarkable features of the book is the way in which Kashvi uses language to convey the intensity of emotions associated with eternal love…love is everywhere…its omnipotence cannot be seconded…it is the foremost entity in all our endeavors.

Kashvi’s words are simple yet profound, and they have a way of capturing the reader’s attention and drawing them into the world of the poems. The poems in the book deeply strike with the personal chords, yet they are also universal in their appeal. Kashvi writes about love and life themes in a way that is relatable to many. Her poems explore the thematic joy and pain of love and separation, the way it can make us feel alive and the way it can break our hearts. Taken as a whole, Love, Pain & Timelessness is an entrancing and thought-provoking collection of poems that is sure to resonate with anyone who has ever loved their life in rain and sunshine. It is a must-read for anyone who enjoys poetry, and it would make a wonderful addition to any bookshelf.
